If you found this page, you probably have gout. And you want to get rid of it. If you have a flare-up or gout attack, you want to get rid of it very, very much - as do I.
Over 15 years with gout I found a few effective ways of getting rid of the gout entirely. No more tophi, no more pain in the big toe joint. I do not quite laugh when the attacks come - but I do not lie in bed crying any more. And as a matter of fact, my last attack was in 2018.
I am doing it without supplements but I am also trying to figure out if there is a supplement that works to
prevent gout attacks. I already tried cherries. I decided to test apple cider vinegar (ACV) next, but taking apple cider vinegar does not reduce your uric acid level as I discovered, you can read more about it from the linked page. .
If you too want your latest attack to be your last, you can use the same program I did - the Goutbeater program. There is more information on this site, together with other things I have found that help.
Here are some of the things I have used to beat gout:
* Excercise your foot muscles
* Go on a diet - my favorite is the WV diet, but I list several more gout-control diets in the diet resource page.
* Drink lots of water. And I mean lots and lots.
* Control your uric acid levels.
If you are interested in finding out more about the journey, because that is what it is, check my blog. And if you want to use my experiences, get the Goutbeater program. I created it to help you.
Right now I am testing if cherries have any effect against gout. You can read more on the page I created to document my cherry eating experiment.
Some more things I collected to help:
* What are purines and how do they relate to uric acid?
* Why do uric acid crystals hurt so much?
* Why do some foods cause gout, but not others?
Want to know more about me? Read here. And read this disclaimer too.
