Cooking With Whey
Whey is what is left of the milk after you use it to make cheese. The cheese consists of the parts which dissolve easily in fat, the whey of the parts of milk which dissolve in water. That includes the orotic acid which binds to uric acid and makes it easier for the kidneys to expel.
Most people have probably not seen fresh whey, which is a thin yellowish liquid without much taste. The dairies concentrate it and remove the water to create whey powder.
Whey powder is not particularly tasty, which is why most people who use it will add it to a smoothie or other tasty drink.
