Wednesday, March 31. UA going up again. Nuts! Or bananas?

3/31/2021

The curry was certainly tastier. But maybe using bananas was a mistake. After all, they are very sweet. On the other hand, I did eat a lot of nuts. Which may not have been so clever either. I will try to keep the amounts down today, although I already had a banana for breakfast and nuts for snack...
Todays weather and temperature: Still a little wet from the rain during the night, but clearing up, getting really nice and getting warm during the day - upwards of 20 degrees again. But then, there was this dust cloud from China....

Breakfast: Granola, apple sauce, banana, and milk.
Lunch: Bread from the nearby bakery cafe.

Todays step count: 13256 steps, but no stiffness today.

Todays supplements and dosage: 6 fish oil capsules.
Todays UA reading: 7.6 mg/dL. So only purines are less of a problem than purines and sugar, I think that is confirmed.

Friday, March 26. Low UA means no gout. If you have had it for a while.

3/26/2021

Low uric acid serum levels means you are not at risk for gout attacks - if you have had them for a while, and if you do not have sustained peaks during which uric acid crystals can form. This basically means you have to have more days with low UA (low then being 6.8 mg/dL) than high UA, so any crystals formed suring high UA days can dissolve. How many more I have no means to measure, but we are probably speaking about at least three times as many low UA days as high UA. At a guess.
Todays weather and temperature: Nice spring weather, patches of cloud and sunny, but not hot (around 13 deg C).
Current stress level (scale from 1 (low) to 5 (high)): 3
Breakfast: Rice, egg and natto - and blue cheese melted on brown bread.
Lunch: Carrot gratin with cinnamon. Yes, they went quite well together.
Snack: No snack, too busy.
Dinner: Vegetable soup with rice and brown bread.
Todays supplements and dosage: 6 fish oil capsules.
Todays UA reading: 6.8 mg/dL
Todays step count: 11687 steps
How much did I drink today?: Coffee 1 liter, water 1 liter, tea 1.5 liter, non-alcoholic beer-like purine-free drink 0.3 liter.
This weeks weight: 118.8 kg
Waist circumference: 115 cm
