I had to go to the doctor today, my foot pain did not give up. And indeed, I have a calcification in the planar tendon. Planar fascitis, in othet words. Just take it slow until it gets better.

Sunday, June 27. Planar fascitis is almost as bad as gout.

I developed planar fascitis from my morning walks. It is not gout because when I put on slippers I feel nothing. But with ordinary shoes ut feels like my heel us pushing on burning coals (and just in case you wonder, yes I actually do know what that feels like). I ordered orthopedic insoles from Amazon but there seems to be some delay.

Breakfast: Melon, plums, and minestrone soup.
Lunch: Noodles with egg and vegetable rempura, tofu with tragitional complements usually eaten with mochi for dessert.
Snack: Popcorn
Dinner: Egg end rice, french fries, and mango tofu dessert.
Todays supplements and dosage: 6 fish oil capsules, 4 garlic capsules, 100 cc of beet pickle ACV juice in water.

I am losing weight! Quite fast too. Extending my walk and decreasing starch and grains work. But there are still a lot of kilos to get rid of. I only lost 20% of my arbitrary goal so far.
​Todays weather and temperature: Rain in the morning, sunny after lunch, warm breeze - between 27 and 30 degrees centigrade.

Breakfast: Salad, leftovers from yesterday.
Lunch: Favorite Chinese
Snack: Japanese rice crackers with cheese and "nori", the green wrapper used on sushi, often mislabelled as seaweed but really a kind of microscopic animal.
Dinner: Kimchi stir-fry and salad.
Todays supplements and dosage: 6 fish oil capsules, 4 garlic capsules, beet root pickle ACV juice.

I got immunized today, with the Pfizer vaccine. It was OK at first but then I felt really bad and had to go to bed around 6. Next day I was fine, except for a little sore around the injection site. It had no measurable effect on my uric acid level, but my blood pressure went up slightly.

Finished watching Ghost in the shell - the version with Scarlett Johanssen in it. O.M.G! The story was a bit thin but the acting was quite good, and the CG incredibly well done.
​Todays weather and temperature: Rainy and a little colder - 22 degrees centigrade.

Breakfast: Bread at the nearby bakery cafe, and the local flavored frappuchino (with "zunda" sweet edamame paste).
Lunch: Rice and chilli paste flavored with sea squirt (hoya). And pickled vegetables (not ACV pickles).
Snack: Cheese sticks
Dinner: Italian buffet - great vegetables, but horrendously dangerous cake buffet. You know, one of those where you want to taste everything. Twice.
Todays supplements and dosage: 10 cc ACV beetroot pickle juice in water.

I got a hard cast from the doctor that takes the load off my planar sinew. It does not hurt to walk. But it does not fit in any shoes I have, so I am staying in the house. I ordered support soles from Amazon but they have not arrived yet, so I have to stay indoors until they do.

My foot is hurting more and more, if it does not get better I have to go to the doctor. But it is not gout, if it was it would not get better when I put on my thick-soled slippers.

Thursday, June 24. Drinking pickle juice, but not against gout.

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is touted as something which will cure almost every ill. Except cancer, the people who promoted it as a cure for cancer were halted by the FDA. When I tried it last time, it might have had a slight effect on my uric acid level, but not enough to matter.
So why am I trying it now? Actually, I am trying beetroots. Beetroots supposedly help lower your blood pressure (apart from tasting great), I often use them in my curries, as you may have noticed. And in Sweden, pickled beetroots is a common condiment (you can find them at IKEA). So why not combine two health benefits, and pickle beetroots in apple cider vinegar?
I did, and to add to the health benefit, I also added onion and ginger (in separate batches). They make an excellent complement to curry, maybe a liitle pungent but it works.
And now I am drinking the pickle juice. It does no harm and is rather refreshing. And it tastes much better than raw ACV. Let us see what effect it may have, if any.

I have started meditating while I walk my morning walk. You can do that, you do not have to sit in a dark room. It takes a bit of practice to navigate the environment with essentially your conscious mind shut off. Just to empty my mind so I can focus better aftetwards. It does not affect my uric acid level (you could probably control your liver but it would take enormous practice), but it might affect my blood pressure. And anyway, it helps me be mentally prepared for my working day.

Lunch: Vegetable curry fry-up
