Since today is a holiday moved here so people could have time off for the Olympic games, we went away for the long weekend. There are no spectators allowed at the games anyway (except in areas outside Tokyo proper, so we could have watched the Japan-South Africa socver game which was played in an arena close to where we live.
Todays weather and temperature: Cloudy but hot. Mostly indoors though, where it is 25 deg C.

Breakfast: Japanese set meal in a roadside cafe. They had a breakfast special which was almost meatless, if you gave the meat from the soup to your son.
Lunch: Ramen noodles in miso soup. Not the soup you have for breakfast but a special one. Unfortunately with some meat in it.
Snack: No snack
Dinner: Buffet at the resort where we are staying for the weekend. Great vegetarian options, although I tasted too much of the kids sweets.
