Monday, April 19. No purines, no sugar, no gout. Well, maybe some sugar. And a little bit too many purines.
Purines turn out to be easier to avoid than sugar, especially if you are cookimg with leftovers. But you have to be careful with the food that was the leftover in the first place. I have been tripped up by meat and fish in hotpots before, although today I am pretty sure my lunch will cause my UA to spike.
Todays weather and temperature: 15 degrees centigrade and above, but very windy today too, with some sand in the air.
Current stress level (scale from 1 (low) to 5 (high)): 4
Breakfast: Salad and a kiwifruit sandwich - I had some bread left over from the bakery cafe visit on Saturday, so I sliced and toasted it, and simply
put kiwifruit slices on top. As it was a rather sweet bread, the tartness of the kiwi fruit balanced it perfectly.
Lunch: Vegetable curry with tofu fried in olive oil (another leftover, from the mozarella cheese yesterday). And some of the kids fried rice from Friday, with fish cakes and nori (the green stuff around sushi, which is not a kind of seaweed but a kind of animal).
Snack: No time for snacking.
Dinner: Vegetable soup and a sandwich.
