There was a huge earthquake just as we had gone to bed yesterday. The house shook visibly but there was no damage, apart from the odd thing falling off a shelf. That is what it is like living in Japan.
Todays weather and temperature: Clear and fairly warm, up to 15 deg C. Spring in February? Sure felt like it. Breakfast: This morning, my daughters made pancakes for me and my son, since women give their menfolk chocolate on Valentines Day in Japan. Lunch: Japanese traditional lunch, rice and sides. I had pickled spinach, deep-fried tofu, a sprng roll, and "cows sinews", since in old Japan they used to eat whatever was available, and not waste anything. Including the sinews of the cow. It tastes very much like the topping on Yoshinoya beef bowls. Snack: No snack Dinner: Vegetable soup with cheese and mushrooms. Tried to avoid the fish in it. And for dessert, my kids gave me a box with whisky bonbons. You know, the type where there is a little whisky in a sugar bottle embedded in chocolate. Sounds like a recipe for high uric acid, but they tasted great. Todays supplements and dosage: None today Todays UA reading: 8.5 mg/dL Todays step count: 8136 steps How much did I drink today?: Water 2 liter, tea 1 liter, coffee 1 liter. This weeks weight: 121 kg Waist circumference: 118 cm How many times did I go to the toilet today? #1 9 times, #2 3 times My urine pH this morning (for why this matters, read more here): 6 Was my urine strange in any way? No How many minutes did I use the Sixpad Foot Fit Plus? None, mostly not at home today.
