The chairman of the Tokyo Olympic committee managed to put his foot in his mouth when he claimed that meetings with many women take too long time because they all want to talk. As father of two daughters, I understand what he is saying. But as a married man, I also know better than voicing such opinions out loud. And I am not in an official position in an organization committed to gender equality. Mote to the topic of this blog, while men are still the majority of gout attack sufferers, the number of women who get gout flare-ups is increasing drastically. If not even gout discriminates based on sex, how can the chairman of the Tokyo Olympic committee?
Todays weather and temperature: Quite warm for February, 8 degrees centigrade all day.
Breakfast: Sons uneaten muffin from yesterday (well he ate the berries but not the rest), granola and milk. Egg-and-cheese sandwich. That muffin was sure full of sugar!
Lunch: Cheese gratinated "gammo" and vegetable soup. Two small pieces of preserved fish. And "dango" for dessert. Mochi is just starch but the sauces are sweet!
Snack: Piece of cheese.
Dinner: Vegetable soup and a few small pieces of chicken, since they looked so delicious. Wakame seaweed salad and a croissant with brie cheese.
Todays supplements and dosage: Aojiru in a green smoothie. Rooibos tea 1.5 liter.
Todays UA reading: 9.0 mg/dL, and considering I had an almost perfect low purine and sugar diet day yesterday, I must have more uric acid stored in my body than I thought. Or there is something wrong with the measurements, but that is the least likely explanation. Or rooibos tea actually does slow down the uric acid production, but since I drank so much on Friday, why did it not keep it low on Saturday morning?
Todays step count: 6577 steps.
How much did I drink today?: Coffee 1 liter, water 2 liter, rooibos tea 1.5 liter, non-alcohol purine-free beer-like drink 0.3 liter.
This weeks weight: 121 kg
Waist circumference: 118 cm
How many times did I go to the toilet today? #1 8 times, #2 2 times.
My urine pH this morning (for why this matters, read more here): 7, which shows I did not eat any sugar yesterday, at least.
Was my urine strange in any way? No
How many minutes did I use the Sixpad Foot Fit Plus? None, no desktime today.
