We had almost run out of cheese, which is a disaster in this household. So yesterday we went to Costco and loaded up. You can laugh at family packs of cheese puffs until you have three kids, then you find the cost-performance outstanding. Especially when it comes to cheese. Compared to ordinary Japanese supermarkets, the price of cheese is one tenth. And the selection is bigger.
Todays weather and temperature: Cloudy and about 5 degrees centigrade. Breakfast: Bagel with cream cheese, "gammo" tofuburger with cream cheese (edible but more interesting than good), strawberry with vanilla flavored cream cheese - simple and great! Turns out the trick was to heat it a little before serving. Be careful, it becomes very hot. I will try with chocolate too. Lunch: Salad and steamed cabbage. Snack: Parsnip chips from Hardbites. Their carrot chips were not so successful, but parsnips have enough starch for the frying to work. And a lot more taste than potatoes. Dinner: Chocolate soup (yes, I have not gone crazy. I steamed vegetables, tooh the steam water, added plenty of soy sauce, and the chocolate from my chocolate experiment (95 % cacao)). Since it does not have any sugar, it is a different taste experience. Todays supplements and dosage: Aojiru in a green smoothie. Forgot the fish oil because we now have to take the kids temperature on weekends, not just school days. Todays UA reading: 6.4 mg/dL, would have been even lower if I had stayed away from that sushi. Todays step count: 6009 steps (stayed around the house). How much did I drink today?: Water 1.5 liter, coffee 1 liter, no-alcohol beer 1 liter. Total 3.5 liter, almost one US gallon. This weeks weight: 122.4 kg Waist circumference: 120 cm How many times did I go to the toilet today? #1 9 times, #2 3 times. My urine pH this morning (for why this matters, read more here): 7 Was my urine strange in any way? No. How many minutes did I use the Sixpad Foot Fit Plus? None, no desktime today.
